Garway Cross is situated along a quiet country lane overlooking beautiful countryside. This location offers an ideal combination of peaceful rural life with local amenities available around half a mile away in the village of Garway. Garway has a post office, a primary school with a playgroup, a public house, church and a village green. The market towns Monmouth (8 miles) and Ross on Wye (10 miles) both offer a good range of independent shops, primary and secondary schooling, supermarkets and leisure facilities. Monmouth is home to the renowned Haberdashers school. The cathedral cities of Hereford and Gloucester are approximately 13 and 26 miles distance respectively, allowing easy commuting access. Access to the motorway network can be made via junction 4 of the M50 (11 ½ miles) or J24 of the M4 (27 miles). Excellent rail links can be made via Abergavenny (11 miles) which has direct links to Manchester and Newport, whilst Hereford (13 miles) has direct links to Birmingham New Street and London Paddington. Cardiff and Birmingham are 55 miles and 80 miles distant respectively.

Garway Cross is a beautiful stone built cottage which offers flexible and versatile accommodation. Exposed beams and an eclectic mix of pine doors add to the property's character, warmth and charm. The kitchen undoubtedly forms the heart of the home and has flagstone flooring, a beamed ceiling, a cream Aga and a white butler sink. There is ample space to house a farmhouse style dresser unit and a table and chairs. To the dining part of the kitchen lies a wood burning stove. Two separate doors lead out to different parts of the garden, with one door leading primarily to a lean to area which has space for white goods and a washing machine. The sitting room lies to the end of the hallway and has an open fire place with decorative Victorian cast iron inset. There is also a bathroom, which has the original stone-built fireplace in situ. The office lies just to the side of the main entrance and the hallway itself has wooden flooring. The living room also has wooden flooring and is situated on the lower ground floor. It is a fantastic space. To one end lies a wood burning stove beneath a brick chimney. This area could even have annexe potential as the study adjacent, could be made into a bedroom. This room also has a door leading out to the garden, thereby having separate access if needed. The main staircase leads to four bedrooms, a bathroom with a walk-in shower and completes the first floor.

Garway Cross benefits from having extensive cottage gardens. Grass covered walkways lead you to various parts of the garden which is bedecked in flora. Red peonies, lilies, red weigela and roses in a delicate pale yellow, are just a few of the many wonderful plants dotted here and there amongst the well stocked flower beds. The garden has been planted in such a way as to ensure bursts of colour all year round. Mature trees are in abundance and include Rowan, Birch, Ash, Oak and apple trees. A large section of the garden, to the rear, houses a well established fruit, vegetable and herb garden. This part of the garden is very productive and a greenhouse and shed lies adjacent. The gardens are very private and back onto fields. The sound from the birds and the wildlife create that feeling of calm and relaxation. Coupled with the peaceful and tranquil location, it is an ideal haven. Ample parking lies to the side of the property where there is also a large wooden workshop style shed. This area could, subject to relevant permissions, be used to house a log cabin to create holiday rental income, if desired.
